Focus On You

Focus On You is the 3rd Wed of the month. It will be held at Commerce Bank of Kirkwood, 300 N. Kirkwood Rd. . This event is open to Chamber members only and at no charge. 12 - 1pm. Please bring your own lunch.

Topic: Common Knee Injuries and Ways to Prevent Knee Pain

Speaker Bio: Brooke Kalisiak is currently the owner and sole practicing clinician at Legacy Physical Therapy. She opened Legacy Physical Therapy in January 2009 because she saw a need in the St. Louis area for a physical therapy center that focused on women’s health needs throughout their lifetime.

Brooke graduated from Princeton University in 2000 with a Bachelors in Psychology. While at Princeton she was a member of their Division One Women’s Basketball Team. She completed her Masters in Health Science for Physical Therapy from Washington University in St. Louis in 2002 and was the recipient of the Director’s Award. She completed her Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2008 and was the recipient of the Lorraine F. Lake Award for post-professional students.

Brooke has published professional literature related to pregnancy and exercise. She is currently serving as the regional course coordinator for the American Physical Therapy Association’s Section on Women’s Health. She continues to have close ties with the faculty at Washington University’s Program in Physical Therapy, and enjoys helping the next generation of therapists learn the profession by lab assisting and being a clinical educator.
