Do you need to do some spring cleaning while being environmentally responsible, then this event is for you!

The Kirkwood-Des Peres Area Chamber of Commerce 'Spring Clean' Event, Saturday, April 11th, 2026 is the place to RECYCLE Electronics, Appliances (large & small), Metal, SHRED Documents, and DONATE gently used Pet, Kitchen, Furniture, Household Items that may be crowding your home.

Did we mention Donating Items? You can even bring out some non-perishable foods to help those in need!

This is one of the LARGEST Drive Through Recyling and Donation events of the year! Help us keep items out of landfills and give them a second chance for use.

  • Computer Equipment: CPUs, Towers, Laptops, Keyboards, Mice, Accessories, LCD/Flat Screen Monitors, Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS), Cables and Peripherals, Printers, Scanners, Copiers, Fax machines, Servers, Networking Equipment. (Hard Drives are securely shredded.)
  • Telephone Equipment:  Phone Systems, Cables, IP Phones.
  • Medical, Retail, Lab: Retail POS Systems, Medical Equipment, Test Equipment

Criteria for Acceptance

  • Interior, Exterior, Latex/Water Based Paint Only in original containers
  • Container must have easy to read label
  • Container must be in good condition and firmly sealed (no leaks)

  • Epoxies, Glues and Adhesives
  • Products containing pesticides
  • Tar and Bitumen Products
  • Any Cleaners
  • Industrial Coatings
  • OEM paints and finishes
  • Caulk and Patch Compounds

Note: Paint Busters Recycling reserves the right to not accept any cans that are not on the Acceptable Material List. Items will not be accepted if in unmarked gallons, buckets or drums

PET ITEMS helping pets at the APA of Missouri - Blankets, Towels, Cleaning Supplies, gently used Collars and Leashes, Unopened Dog and Cat Food.

Kirk Care relies on unexpired, non-perishable food donations for a majority of food shared with our clients.  Below is a preferred shopping list of needs for our pantry:

     *Canned meats and fruits

     *Canned vegetables

     *Boxed meals

     *Breakfast items

     *Paper products

     *Toilet paper and personal care items

     *Diapers and Infant care items

     *Feminine care and adult care products

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!

We could always use some extra hands at the event so if you are willing, we would love to have you volunteer.

Some of the volunteer duties include traffic control, assisting at the various drop off stations (since this is drive through we take items out of the vehicles for the people recycling/donating), and general help with signs and clean up.
